Ahi Tuna BurgerThis ahi burger recipe is more delicious and healthier than regular beef burgers. Yield: 2 Servings
Ingredients3/4 lb fresh ahi or yellowfin tuna1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 clove or 1 teaspoon garlic, minced or pressed through a garlic press salt and pepper 2 Tablespoons olive oil
MethodChop the tuna with a large and very sharp knife. Don't use the food processor. The tuna should be a little chunky but able to stick together, like ground beef. Remove any bits of gristle. In a small bowl combine the tuna, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and garlic. Mix with your hands until well combined and form into two patties. Sprinkle each patty with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Place the patties in the pan and cook 2 minutes on each side for rare and 3 minutes on each side for well-done. Drain on a paper towel and serve on a bun with mayonnaise, tomatoes and lettuce.
Serving SuggestionClimbing Vine Sauvignon Blanc. Estimated Prep Time: 6 minutes |
