
Ahi Tuna Burger

This ahi burger recipe is more delicious and healthier than regular beef burgers.

Prep Time: 6 mintues | Cook Time: 10 mintues
Ingredients - Salad:
- 3/4 lb fresh ahi or yellowfin tuna
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove or 1 teaspoon garlic, minced or pressed through a garlic press
- salt and pepper
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
Method:
- 1.
Chop the tuna with a large and very sharp knife. Don't use the food processor. The tuna should be a little chunky but able to stick together, like ground beef. Remove any bits of gristle.
- 2.
In a small bowl combine the tuna, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and garlic. Mix with your hands until well combined and form into two patties. Sprinkle each patty with salt and pepper.
- 3.
Heat the oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Place the patties in the pan and cook 2 minutes on each side for rare and 3 minutes on each side for well-done. Drain on a paper towel and serve on a bun with mayonnaise, tomatoes and lettuce.
