What is the MyWinesDirect Affiliate Program?
The MyWinesDirect affiliate program is our way rewarding you for telling others about our site. As an affiliate, you'll earn commission from all sales you generate, either through a link you've posted on your website or included in an email. Your unique affiliate number will, gain you access to outstanding promotional tools and will enable you to start earning right away.
Is it free to join?
Yes! It's absolutely free to join and applying is easy!. There's also no minimum sales requirement to remain a member.
How do I get started with the affiliate program?
Our program is hosted through LinkShare, so you'll need to be registered there first. That's free and easy to do. Apply here.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. If at any point you no longer wish to promote MyWinesDirect on your website, it's easy to end the relationship. Simply go to "My Account" within LinkShare, select MyWinesDirect and click on "Delete this merchant from my account". When you cancel, you will need to remove all MyWinesDirect links and images from your Web site. We're confident you'll want to keep the partnership, but rest assured - ending it is hassle-free.
Can you tell me more about My Wines Direct?
We'd love to. MyWinesDirect is the online destination to buy great wines from around the world and have them shipped to you quickly, easily, and for free! The wines we offer have been screened by tasting panels and wine experts, to weed out the duds and allow our customers to feel confident of the quality of each bottle showcased on MyWinesDirect. MyWinesDirect makes shopping for wines easy, and we're confident each bottle is a winner.
Can I participate if I live outside the U.S.?
We encourage affiliates from around the world to apply to the program. Please be aware, however, that MyWinesDirect ships solely within the United States. Therefore, unless your site's readership is targeted to the residents of the United States, we are doubtful of how fruitful your affiliate experience will be. If you have specific questions about whether your site would do well, you can always email your URL to us at affiliates@mywinesdirect.com and ask our advice.
What Web sites are prohibited from joining the MyWinesDirect Affiliate program?
We will not accept Web sites with objectionable content, including but not limited to pornography (sexual content, explicit language or content), violence, hate-oriented, illegal, defamatory, or obscene content
I don't have a Web site yet. Can I still apply to be an affiliate with MyWinesDirect?
No. You must have an existing Web site that we can review in order to become a MyWinesDirect affiliate.
Sale and Shipment of wines from MyWinesDirect
Is shipping from MyWinesDirect always $0?
Yes. Shipping is always $0 and is delivered using a variety of carriers: FedEx, UPS, DHL, and others depending on state availability and state regulatory requirements.
Does MyWinesDirect ship everywhere?
Local laws regulates where MyWinesDirect can ship to. My Wines Direct currently ships to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, ID, IL, IA, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, SC, TX, VA, WI and WY.. We will continue to add more states in the near future.
Are there any restrictions on the type of address MyWinesDirect can ship to?
By law, alcohol cannot be shipped to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
Are there any states with delivery that may take more than the standard 3-14 days?
In some instances, orders in Arizona and Illinois may take longer depending on when the order is placed, the zip are and the delivery options.
Are there restrictions on who can receive the delivery?
Someone age 21 or older must be home to sign for the delivery. The delivery carrier will make 3 delivery attempts. The package cannot be left at the door or with a minor.
Commission Fees and Payment
How can I keep track of how many people visit MyWinesDirect and purchase through my links?
Simply log in to your LinkShare affiliate account at http://linkshare.com/ to access a variety of online reports, where you can track your click-throughs and commissions, and also access marketing materials, banners, and text links.
How much will I earn with MyWinesDirect?
You will receive 8% commission on each paid sale transaction that you refer from your site. Higher commissions may be negotiable for key partners.
When and how do I get paid?
You will be paid monthly by check, sent directly from LinkShare.
How long does my link's tracking last?
We offer to you, 30 return days. That means that if somebody clicks on your link and doesn't purchase right away, you haven't necessarily lost out on commissions. If they return to MyWinesDirect.com within 30 days (without going through another affiliates' link), you will get credit for that sale.
Setting Up My Affiliate Links
Where will I find MyWinesDirect banners, buttons, and text links?
Log in to your MyWinesDirect affiliate account at http://linkshare.com/index.shtml. Then go to Create Links and highlight My Wines Direct. On the left of the screen you'll find the option to either get text links or banners. You decide what creative you'd like on your site and exactly where to place it. If you find you'd like additional creative, please contact us and we'll do our best to meet your needs and help you in promoting MyWinesDirect.
How can I download graphics and logos from MyWinesDirect to my Web site?
All the graphics and logos you'll need are hosted on LinkShare's servers, as are the linking codes you'll need to track your click-throughs and receive commission from your sales.
May I link to MyWinesDirect from more than one Web site?
Yes. You are welcome to link to MyWinesDirect from multiple Web sites, as long as none of the sites violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right; encourages illegal activity or racism; or features tobacco products, gambling, or materials, products, or services related to pornography. Submit the URLs for all sites which you plan to use to promote MyWinesDirect, via email to affiliates@mywinesdirect.com.
Maintaining My MyWinesDirect Affiliate Account
How can I promote MyWinesDirect?
MyWinesDirect will provide banners, buttons, and text links that you can use on your site. In addition to your Web site, you may promote MyWinesDirect through an opt-in mailing list as per the terms of our Affiliate Agreement.
How will my visitors make purchases at MyWinesDirect?
Your graphic and text links will take your visitors right to MyWinesDirect, so that buying MyWinesDirect is quick and easy.
How can I change my affiliate account information?
Your account information can be easily accessed through LinkShare's interface. Log in and select Your Account.
Promoting My Web Site
Am I permitted to do Pay Per Click advertising?
PPC is forbidden without authorization. If you violate this policy, you will be terminated from the program and/or we hold the right to disallow any and all commissions. Feel free to email us if you'd like to discuss any ideas for promotion that you may have.
What kind of advertising can I do?
You can place MyWinesDirect banners and buttons on your site, use text links on your site, or write something creative about MyWinesDirect. Testimonials and editorial copy written by you (or your site visitors) are the best promotional material available - so if you use MyWinesDirect yourself, be sure to tell your visitors! You can also use any copy on www.MyWinesDirect.com, as long as you identify www.MyWinesDirect.com as the source and include an affiliate link with the article.
What kind of advertising is prohibited?
You cannot send unsolicited email (aka spam) in any way. PPC is permission based, so you must be authorized by our team to advertise in such a manner. There will be no leniency, and affiliates in violation of our policy will forfeit their commissions and be removed from the program.
