Las Tizas Malbec 2008
Mendoza, Argentina
Many of the greatest wine regions of the world are blessed with chalky soils, including portions of Mendoza like the Las Tizas vineyards. Not only do the soils hold little water, forcing the vines to dig deep for moisture and nutrients and thereby making for intense flavors in the wine, but the white soils also reflect the sunlight back onto the grapes, encouraging them to ripen evenly and fully.
That’s how the Las Tizas Malbec comes by its rich character and aromas of anise, raspberry liquer and blackberry. Its tannins are light, but dry and it finishes long and smooth.

Said to fall in the "dry, earthy" taste category. I liked it a lot.
It was a little too peppery for my own taste but I can definitely see how others would like it alot.
This is an awesome Malbec. I have been ordering it a lot and always enjoy it. It's also my father in law's favorite.
The wife liked it while I was gone last weekend.
Interesting and full of flavor! Well worth!
Everyone liked Malbec wine.
Earthy tannins, a berried nose and simmering spice notes pave the languid way to an lovely, understated finish. Perfect bottle to pair simply with crusty bread and/or a cheese plate.
I had not had a malbec before but it could be my new favorite....served it to my friends with a london broil and it was great...great price too
