Ojos Verdes Malbec 2009

Athletes like to train at high elevations; it strengthens their lungs. Malbec, similarly, seems to like the high elevations of Mendoza’s vineyards – the highest in the world – where it matures into a full-bodied, powerful, and yes, athletic red wine. The Ojos Verdes makes the cut with its black cherry, plum, and licorice aromas, along with some earthy notes on the finish. It’s full-bodied and concentrated.

I love this Malbec! It's my favorite wine right now and this is a great example.
Rich cherry on the front, weak boquet, average finish. A good everyday wine.
Try the Ojos Verdes at your next barbecue; it goes great with chicken, ribs, and sausages. It also works well with a mature hard cheese like Manchego.
