Roca Malbec 2008
Mendoza, Argentina
Malbec was once an important grape in Bordeaux, France’s great wine region. After phylloxera, a vine-destroying aphid, ravaged the vineyards of France (along with the rest of the world), many growers there didn’t replant it, but fortunately it had already found a new home in Mendoza, Argentina. There it has taken on a role as a solo player instead of being used in blends, giving it a new chance to shine. The grape has the classic spice – licorice and pepper – along with notes of blackberry, cherry, and blueberry.
Due to popular demand, this wine is only available in select packs. Please try another Argentine Malbec.

Said to have a "dry, earth taste". I loved it!
The Roca Malbec pairs well with meats like roast duck or lamb; it also goes well with ripe mature cheeses like a Gouda.
