Seadrift Chardonnay 2009

The flexibility of the Chardonnay grape is very favorable; give it a hot, sunny climate, and it’s ready to grow into a full-bodied, tropical heavyweight; plant it somewhere cool, and it can be light and crisp. The Seadrift Chardonnay captures some of that freshness, but without sacrificing fruity aromas; when you waft the glass you smell notes of pear, green apple, and citrus, leavened by a touch of almond. It’s got a smooth texture and refreshing finish but yet it's fairly light.

The Seadrift Chardonnay goes well with white fish like grouper or red snapper; it also pairs nicely with grilled chicken dishes or light pastas.
