Salamander Chardonnay 2008
California
California has long been known for their oaky Chardonnays - and been praised for this style as well. However a few years ago, winemakers started to experiment with a new style - bright, crisp and more on the fruity side. The Salamander has found a balance in the middle of the two; its refreshing with ripe fruit on the nose; with notes of peach and tropical fruits. Just to give it the traditional California taste, there is a hint of oak aging, to smooth out the wine - making for a delicious blend of the best California has to offer.

The Salamander Chardonnay goes well with seafood like white fish and various shellfish; it also pairs nicely with with green or fruit salads.
