Orrando Zinfandel 2007

California has embraced Zinfandel like no other grape; in fact, the governor almost declared it the state’s official winegrape a few years ago. Originally planted in the 19th century, many of the state’s oldest and most highly-regarded vineyards are still dedicated to the variety, and some would say its full-bodied, richly-fruited character reflects the state’s relaxed attitude.
The Orrando shows some aromas of red plum and cherry on the nose and then deepens into spice and brambly dark fruit on the palate. It’s full-bodied and quite smooth.

very good Zin...although I've just started drinking them...its a nice change from the cabs I normally buy
Full flavor
The Orrando Zinfandel goes very well with barbecue ribs and hamburgers; it also pairs nicely with Mexican dishes like carne asada fajitas or burritos.
