Santa Chiara Pinot Grigio 2008

The Veneto is the bread-basket for the city of Venice, rich in produce of all sorts, including wine. Given the Venetian love of seafood, it should come as no surprise that they do a good job with white wines – Pinot Grigio is one of their primary grapes. The Santa Chiara encapsulates the style: melon, floral and peach notes on the nose; a medium-body and soft texture; and a clean, dry finish.

The Santa Chiara goes well with fish and seafood but it also makes a great pairing with prosciutto or light pastas.
