Sonoma has a long history with Zinfandel, with plantings that go back decades. It’s a large area, too, with many sub-divisions: Russian River, Dry Creek, the Sonoma Coast and so on. This Zinfandel takes advantage of both that old history and the area’s diversity, allowing the winemaker to select grapes from all over Sonoma and blend them together into a delicious, complex wine.
The Red Truck Zinfandel is medium to full-bodied and well-focused, with lots of black cherry, plum and raspberry notes; it finishes with a light brambly, spicy note and mild tannins.
