Meritage refers to the special blend grapes in this wine and it's one of the few trademarked wine terms in the US. The Meritage Alliance licenses the name to wines made with the classic blending grapes of Bordeaux. They also strongly encourage producers to use it only for their best, limited production wines, so “Meritage“ on the label is often a strong sign of quality.
The Marlegan Meritage shows what it’s all about; full-bodied, it offers a sophisticated mix of dark fruits like cassis and black plum along with notes of anise and eucalyptus. It has good length, and its tannins are ripe and soft.

I thought that this meritage was much better than the Poetess meritage.
came in a pack and it was a great suprise...very big wine ...was great with my cheese plate
