Bighorn Chardonnay 2007
Los Carneros, California
The fog that pours over San Francisco doesn’t stop at the city limits, and sweeps over the bay into Carneros, the area at the southern tip of both the Sonoma and Napa Valleys. That cooling touch is a big plus in the vineyards, especially for whites like Chardonnay; it cools the grapes on the vine, so they ripen slowly and keep their freshness.
The Bighorn Cellars Chardonnay shows those benefits; it’s a touch over medium-bodied, and quite elegant, with notes of pear, quince, vanilla, and a clove-like spice. It finishes long and smooth.

Try the Bighorn Cellars Chardonnay with richer fish like salmon, monkfish or arctic char; it also goes well with pork loin.
