Las Tizas Malbec 2008
Mendoza, Argentina
Many of the greatest wine regions of the world are blessed with chalky soils, including portions of Mendoza like the Las Tizas vineyards. Not only do the soils hold little water, forcing the vines to dig deep for moisture and nutrients and thereby making for intense flavors in the wine, but the white soils also reflect the sunlight back onto the grapes, encouraging them to ripen evenly and fully.
That’s how the Las Tizas Malbec comes by its rich character and aromas of anise, raspberry liquer and blackberry. Its tannins are light, but dry and it finishes long and smooth.
Due to popular demand this wine is sold out. Please try the new vintage of this wine: Las Tizas Malbec 2009.

It was a little too peppery for my own taste but I can definitely see how others would like it alot.
This is an awesome Malbec. I have been ordering it a lot and always enjoy it. It's also my father in law's favorite.

Try the Las Tizas Malbec with barbecued chicken or burgers; it also goes well with rich pastas like an alfredo.
