300 Dias del Sol Tempranillo 2007
La Mancha, Spain
Tempranillo, Cencibel, Tinta del Toro, Ull de Llebre – it’s known by a boatload of names, but whatever you call it, it’s Spain’s signature red winegrape, a prime ingredient in the country’s most famous wines: Rioja, Toro and Ribera del Duero, for example. In warm areas like La Mancha, it develops dark fruit flavors without losing its elegant, medium-bodied character.
The 300 Dias de Sol Tempranillo shows notes of black cherry, dark raspberry and black plum, plus a touch of smoke. It’s medium-bodied, with firm tannins.

A very light and easy to drink red.
This is not the best Tempranillo that I've ever tasted but for a "Tuesday night bottle of wine", it'll do the job. Good value for the price ...

Serve the 300 Dias de Sol Tempranillo with grilled meats: sausages, hamburgers and even steaks. It also goes well with mature cheeses like Manchego.
