1150 Malbec 2007
Mendoza, Argentina
Malbec, like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, was once one of several grapes grown in the Bordeaux region of France. It had even more of a leading role not far away in another region, Cahors. But it wasn’t until it came to Argentina that it really made a name for itself. Mendoza in particular grows Malbecs with a characteristic mix of dark fruit and spice notes that red wine drinkers have grown to love.
The 1150 Malbec comes through with blackberry, milk chocolate and dark cherry notes, plus a hint of spice and pepper. It’s full-bodied, with moderate tannins. Only 700 cases were made of this special wine.

Try the 1150 Malbec with grilled meats like skirt steak or hamburgers. It also goes well with richer pastas like lasagna.
