Baco Grand Reserva Pinot Noir 2007

While Chile certainly has its own style of wine, they sometimes seem to look to California for trends and inspiration. And now Pinot Noir is making a strong showing. It’s not all about fashion, though; the trick for good Pinot is finding the right, cooler climate vineyards. The Baco Gran Reserva Pinot Noir demonstrates the results, with red cherry and raspberry notes complemented by a touch of musky spice. Medium-bodied, it starts to show some earthy notes on the palate, and even a touch of smokiness on the finish; its tannins are light and smooth. The Baco Pinot been voted a cocktail party favorite; an absolute crowd pleaser.
