Candelaria Cabernet Franc 2006
Maule Valley, Chile
Believed to be a parent to both Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Cabernet Franc is a little lesser known than some of the other red grapes. But more recently Cabernet Franc has been given the chance to shine on its own. It's food-friendly and not tiring on the palate.
The Candelaria Cabernet Franc from Chile is medium-bodied, combining fruit notes like black plum and cherry with more exotic touches of roast coffee and even pipe tobacco. It's firm and smooth, with well-balanced tannins, and fast becoming one of the most popular discoveries.

Candeleria Cabernet is a good vine. I agree with description on the site and other people comments. The only thing is high alchohol content ...

Try the Candelaria Cabernet Franc with roast meats ranging from lamb to duck to turkey. If you're grilling, it also pairs well with burgers, sausages or Portobello mushrooms.
