Carbó Semi-Seco Cava

When you live in a warm climate like Spain’s, you learn to appreciate how refreshing a glass of sparkling wine can be. Perhaps that’s why Spain has had such success with Cava; it’s often less serious than Champagne, but still superbly festive, at everyday rather than special occasion prices.
The Carbó is made with Cava’s traditional, indigenous grapes: Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Parellada. It’s refreshing, with green apple, citrus and peach aromas, plus an underlying minerality. Light-bodied, with just a touch of sweetness, it finishes clean and crisp.

The Carbó makes an excellent aperitif, on its own or with light snacks like goat cheese or prosciutto. At the table it goes well with light seafood – shrimp, shellfish – or with salads.
