Orcala Viognier 2007
Lodi, California
Chardonnay can sometimes seem like the only white wine grape that readily produces full-bodied wines, but the long-overlooked Viognier grape produces its own fantastic wines. And while they are both grown a warm climate, each grape has its own individual style: for example, where Chardonnay derives some flavors and texture from oak-aging, Viognier unabashedly finds its flavors and textures in the grape itself.
In the Orcala Viognier that means lots of fruit – tangerine, peach, Clementine oranges – with a full-bodied, fresh mouthfeel.
Ironstone Vineyards has a number of sustainable viticulture practices in place to make this personable Viognier a green wine.
Due to popular demand, this Viognier is no longer available. Please try another refreshing Viognier.

This wine is fruity and on the tarty end of taste. Very refreshing when paired with a strong cheese.

The Orcala Viognier goes well with a variety of seafood such as shrimp and mussels. Its soft texture makes it especially good with spicy cuisines like Thai or Indian.
