Siqueira Chardonnay 2005

Aromatically, Chardonnay is rarely as expressive as, for example Sauvignon Blanc, but when it nestles into a warm growing area like Clarksburg and is treated well in the vineyard, it can come out of its shell. When that happens, fruit appears; often exuberant, tropical fruit aromas like the pineapple, mango and peach notes found in the Siqueira Chardonnay. When the fruit is that forward, oak-aging rounds it out, lending to a buttery and creamy texture, while still letting the grapes speak for themselves. The end result is full, round, expressive Chardonnay.

This Chardonnay did not age gracefully, having by 2009 lost its fruit and balance. Tart and hard, past its prime.
Wasn't a fan of this bottle. I found it to be a bit strong in flavor.
Serve with lobster, pork or chicken. It also goes well with pastas with cream-based sauces.
