Ledgewood Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2005
Suisun Valley, California
We often think of Sauvignon Blanc as a summer wine, light and thirst-quenching. However, there are some that have the heft and weight to work well in the cooler months, and the Ledgewood Creek is one of them. Full-bodied, its fruit aromas lean toward mango and lemon and are rounded out by touches of vanilla and a flinty smokiness. If you normally think Sauvignon Blanc is too sharp or light for you, this is one to try.

The Ledgewood Creek Sauvignon Blanc goes very well with many vegetarian dishes, or pastas finished with olive oil or other light sauces. It also makes a good pairing with soft cheeses like feta or fresh mozzarella.
