Wine Region of Argentina

With vineyards planted at some of the highest altitudes in the world, The Mendoza Province is one of Argentina’s most important wine regions. Protected by the towering Andes Mountains to the west, with mineral rich soil and over 300 days of sunshine every year, this area offers ideal conditions for cultivating high quality wines.
 
The Mendoza wine region is divided up into 4 areas: The Central Region which surrounds the Mendoza river and is located 12 miles outside of the city, the Central Valley which produces the most wine in the area, the Southern Region which is located 160 miles outside of the city and the Uca Valley, an emerging area that is becoming known for its premium quality wines.

The Uca Valley vineyards, home to some of our delicious Argentinean wines, are planted nearly 4,000 feet above sea level. The higher elevation means the skins and roots of the grape plants have to struggle more and develop thick skins and stalks that add to the complexity of the grape juice. Argentina is known for its delicious Malbecs and the Uca Valley produces some of the best.
